I was born on August 9th 1975., in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Being an excellent student I graduated “Maritime High School”, sector marine engineering, in 1993. and became a student of the“Maritime Faculty of Dubrovnik” (today “The University of Dubrovnik") , where I got my Diploma in January 1997.
In March the same year I began my career as an Apprentice engineer (engine cadet), on the local maritime company “Atlantska Plovidba”, where I spent the next 5 years (with pause in 2000-2001 when in the Army), as Fourth and Third Engineer Officer.
These were all large ocean-going ships, con-bulk and heavylift, with propulsion of cca. 10 000 HP.
In August 2002. I joined "Globtik Express Agency" (http://www.globtik.hr) and was sent to S/S "LNG Aries" , starting my career on LNG vessels - steam turbine propelled plants. I have served on the ships managed by "Pronav Ship Management" and "Golar LNG Ltd." , (http://www.golargas.com), since. It was my honor to be promoted to Gas Engineer (Cargo Engineer) in December 2003.
In January 2005. I was invited by the"Iva Shipping Agency" (http://www.iva-shipping.hr),manning agents for "NYK Shipmanagement" (http://www.nyksm.com.sg) - subsidary to the biggest japanese shipping company "NYK Line" (http://www.nyk.com) to join the team of seamen who will take their first LNG vessel crewed with European officers. After training in NYK Training Center in Yokohama, and training sail on LNG/C "Broog" I participated in the prepaarations for delivery, sea & gas trials of a newbuilding LNG/C "Lusail", RasGas ll project vessel, in "Samsung" shipyard in the Republic of Korea. In July I joind "Lusail" again for maiden loading in Ras Laffan (Qatar).
At the Promotion Ceremony held in Singapore on March 10th 2008. I was promoted to Chief Engineer.
